Drought continues to spread across the state of Oregon. The latest numbers from the USDA show an improvement in the area considered abnormally dry, the part of the state under the D-1 Moderate Drought has nearly doubled. Roughly 20% of Oregon is under that Moderate Drought designation.
Figures in Washington have improved slightly over the past week; currently just over 6% of the Evergreen state is considered Abnormally Dry.
