At a recent House Ag Committee hearing with Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue, there was one particular topic that seemed to keep coming up.
“The difficulty in getting the seasonal agricultural workers into the country. The H2A program. The lack of labor force.”
Multiple representative pressed Perdue who said he is working with President Trump to provide a labor force for farmers while stopped illegal immigration and that the President’s heart is there but they need to work out how to do it.
Perdue has hired a legal expert on policy and labor to help with the process.
